UDC 10 Base 2 and Token Ring Baluns
The Nevada Western Universal Data Connector Balun is used to match
the impedance of Type 1 cabling and unshielded twisted pair (UTP). This
allows users to integrate UTP lobes into their shielded cabling scheme
without costly rewiring. It is plug compatible to IBM part numbers
6091000 and 8310574, and Nevada Western part number 037-600-04-1.
It is available in Token Ring wiring (pins 3, 4, 5, and 6) and 10 Base T
wiring (pins 1, 2, 3, and 6). NOTE: A type 3 media filter is necessary
when using UTP for Token Ring.

The 4/16 Cableless Media Filter is a compact single piece unit that easily
attaches to the back of a Token Ring card in a PC. The media filter runs
either 4 Mbps or 16 Mbps systems and requires no switches to be set.
All that is required is that the unit is attached to the PC. The unit features
extra long jack screws for toolless attachments to the card.
