IBM-Type Data Connector
The Data Connector, above, has a unique
5-position cable entrance design: (shown
below) straight, 45 or 90 degrees
(Left and Right).
The six piece NEVADA WESTERN Data
Connector kit includes contact assembly
with protective dust cover, upper and lower
housings, Type 1 ground washer, and a
color coded, clear dressing block.
Built-in strain relief secures

The Data Connector is a genderless connector used in IEEE 802.5
standard Token Ring networks and IBM cabling system applications.
This Data Connector, catalog number 037-600-04-1, is a commercial
equivalent to IBM part number 6091000 Type B. It is also plug-compatible
with IBM part number 8310574 Type A Data Connector.
The Data Connector consists of only six components, and requires no
special tools for assembly, thus reducing installation costs.
Built-in locking tabs secure the Data Connector into place when installed in
distribution panels, information outlets or connected to another connector.
New 45 and 180 degree external strain reliefs (see page 5) were engi-
neered for various diameter STP cables being offered in the market today.
This threadless easy to install design allows the user to have a higher con-
fidence level that smaller diameter cable has sufficient strain relief.
