Compact and low profile
This connector is very small, with a mounting height of 5.0mm
(.197") and a thickness of 6.0mm (.236").
Twin U-slot insulation displacement section
The insulation displacement section to which the wire is
connected is composed of two highly reliable tin-plated slots
(twin U-slots).
Compliant locking solder tails
The contact solder tails are elastic and have two locking
positions, both of which ensure stable connection once
inserted into a printed circuit boards. The two locking positions
are asymmetrical and best suited for use with 1.2mm (.047")
and 1.6mm (.063") thick PC boards.
Strain relief
Thanks to the strain relief construction, the wire insulation is
held by the housing when the wire is terminated. Furthermore,
sufficient clearance is provided between the insulation
displacement section and the strain relief section to ensure
decoupling from vibration and tension. In addition to the main
strain relief, an auxiliary strain relief is provided inside the
connector to prevent the insulation displacement section from
being damaged by heat.
Surface treatment
The contact is tin/lead-plated to ensure good solderability
when mounting the connector onto a PC board.
