Construction
6125FA Brick fuses use a unique design and
assembly approach for surface mount fuses.
Solder connects plated caps to the end of a
ceramic tube as well as to an internal fusible
element. This construction is unaffected by
rigorous board washing operations. The
result is a highly reliable surface mount
package that saves valuable circuit board
real estate.

Operation
Cooper Electronic Technologies’ Brick fuses
set the industry standard for performance,
reliability and quality. The environmentally
rugged Fast Acting 6125FA fuse provides
excellent short circuit performance, making it
capable of replacing glass tube fuses in
certain applications. 6125 Brick fuses are
the perfect solution for engineers needing
overcurrent protection of systems up to
125VAC/DC in a surface mount package.

6125 Series Fuses
The 6125 series is now available in both Fast
Acting and Time Delay versions. This feature
allows the designer to standardize the
mounting package used on a circuit board.
Where applicable, an engineer can install a
time delay fuse to allow temporary and
harmless inrush currents to pass through, or
a fast acting version to open the fuse quickly
when a dangerous short circuit fault occurs.
Both of these overcurrent protection
solutions are now offered in the 6125
footprint.
