QDF-4RT
The QDF (Quick Connect Distribution Frame)
family of products provides a fast, easy and
reliable wire management system.
A range of test and patch cords are available.
The 4-wire retractable test/patch cord
consists of a plastic plug assembly containing
a moulded printed circuit board which can be
extended from or retracted into the housing
assembly. This unique design enables access
for testing or monitoring circuits on the QDF-E
termination magazine both with or without
installed protectors.
With the printed circuit board extended, this
test/patch cord can be inserted directly into
the access slot of the QDF-E termination
magazine. In this position it provides break
access (circuit interruption) for testing or
temporary patching.
With the printed circuit board retracted into
the housing assembly, the cord plug can be
inserted into the top of a QDF protector
module. In this position, test functions can be
performed through the top of the protector.
When the QDF protector module is pulled to
the intermediate position, the equipment side
is opened for testing. and the line side
remains fully protected. An inserted test cord
will allow testing of both sides of the circuit
under these conditions.
When the protector module is fully inserted
into the QDF-E magazine, the circuit can be
monitored, without interruption, through the
top of the protector module.
