Alcatel Data Cables FTP Flex range
is intended for high speed data
applications up to 100 MHz including:
ATM 155Mbit/s
FDDI/CDDI 100Mbit/s
Ethernet 100BaseTX, 100BaseVG,
Token Ring, 10BaseT
7/0.16mm stranded plain copper wire
insulated with polythethylene with a
diameter of less than 1.0mm. Two
cores twisted together to form a pair
and four such pairs laid up to form
the basic unit. Shielded with an
overall aluminium foil with a
7/01.6mm tinned copper drain wire.
This unit is sheathed in either PVC of
LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) and
is available in a variety of colours.
Alcatels Category 5 shielded FTP
4 Pair cables are designed
specifically for the patching section of
a shielded Structured Cabling
network.The design enables the
cable to be flexed repeatedly over its
lifetime due to the conductors and
sheathing materials used. This high
performance Category 5 cable has a
specific screen design to give
improved EMC performance. It is
ideal for installations that may be
subject to higher than normal
external electromagnetic noise.
