Meritec’s DIMM (Dual In-Line Memory
Modules) Sockets are the latest addition to
Meritec’s family of Card Edge Connectors.
DIMM Sockets enable the user to easily
upgrade memory using industry standard mod-
ules. The DIMM Sockets are designed to
accept and meet the JEDEC standards for
high-density dual in line memory modules. To
combat the increasing height restrictions inside
the box, Meritec has developed a 25° and 90°
Low Profile DIMM Socket. This socket is avail-
able in the 168 and 200 circuit configuration
with options in tail length, voltage, and function
key location.
FEATURES and BENEFITS
Socket housing accepts all JEDEC module
outlines; stackable on .50'' centers - the
smallest in the industry
PdNi/Au flash plating for improved plating
porosity and durability
Housing includes molded-in function and
voltage key
LCP housing provides stability during the
wave and reflow soldering processes.
Plastic pegs hold down socket during the
soldering process
Dual latches provide latch and eject function
Narrow profile allows better air flow
