State/Definition
Powerup, Forward Battery.
Normal talk and battery feed state. Pin PT is positive with respect to PR.
On-hook transmission is enabled. Low current limit is selected.
Powerup, Forward Battery.
Normal talk and battery feed state. Pin PT is positive with respect to PR.
On-hook transmission is enabled. High current limit is selected.
Disconnect.
The tip and ring amplifiers are turned off, and the SLIC goes to a high-impedance state
(>100 k
). Supervision outputs read on hook. Device will power up in this state.
Low-Power Scan.
Except for off-hook detection, all circuits are shut down to conserve power. Pin PT
is positive with respect to pin PR. On-hook transmission is disabled.

0 = off-hook or ring trip.
1 = on-hook and no ring trip.
0 = Normal device operation.
1 = Device is in thermal shutdown.
