Description
The MSM855 is a member of the very successful
PC/104+ family from Digital-Logic AG. This product in
conjunction with the SM855 is a very fast, high perform-
ance computer and @ 1.4GHz (SM855-P738) it is
about equivalent to a 2.8GHz Pentium 4 performance
level in a very small form factor. The memory can be
expanded up to 1024MB with a DDR-SODIMM module.
The integrated video controller can control two inde-
pendent displays (CRT or LVDS/DVI). This product
includes 5USB (V2.0) interfaces allowing for fast con-
nectivity options. For multimedia applications, the 5.1
sound provides 6 output channels and 2 input chan-
nels. The ISA Bus is generated from a PCI-ISA-bridge
(B version only), or an LPC Bridge Chip to provide an
expansion bus for PC/104 (ISA) interface Cards. Over
the PC/104+ (PCI) connector, up to 4 cards can be
connected (3 for B). The CPU has very low typical
Power consumption and uses speedstep to keep the
current consumption down (Pentium M only). The BIOS
allows to boot the operating system from all possible
medias. The graphic controller is compatible up to Di-
rect-X9.0.
