Introduction
This amendment describes the differences between a new version of W9925QF (W9925QF-K) from previous ones.
It includes new features as well as some functional improvements, such as:
Enhanced OSD:
The OSD characters are bigger and with additional outline/shadow/inverse attributes. These additional attributes
can make the OSD more clear than before. Also, total number of characters can be displayed is also increased.
Provides a lyric guide pointer which is useful when the Karaoke song lyric is drawn with OSD.
Improved Key Control:
The key control up/down range is extended to
±
12 quarter-tone and sound quality is refined.
3-D Audio:
The new W9925QF adopts a 3-D audio algorithm to give more live effects to audio output.
Automatic Picture Size Adjustment:
The new W9925QF can detect the title formats and perform a best fixture to the TV systems automatically. If the
NTSC titles are played on PAL TV system, the picture size is expanded to fill the whole screen. In contrast, the
picture size of PAL titles would be reduced to fit the NTSC screens. Besides, the re-sized picture quality is
improved.
Enhancement on High-resolution Still Pictures
The video quality of high-resolution picture is better than previous versions with still only 4M-bit DRAM used.
New Digest Function:
The video quality of digest mode is enhanced. And a new, 4-frame digest mode is added for more application
variations.
