INTRODUCTION
The XRD9810/12EVAL is a complete printed circuit board for characterizing Exar’s
XRD9810/12. The XRD9810/12 is a fully integrated, high performance CCD & CIS sensor
signal processor with a 10-Bit or 12-Bit analog-to-digital converter. The XRD9810 or
XRD9812 is specifically designed for use in 3-channel linear CCD or CIS imaging
applications. Each channel includes a Correlated Double Sampler, Sample & Hold,
Programmable Gain Amplifier and separate offset adjustment.
This application board combines a proven PC board layout with optimized analog and
digital interface circuitry to satisfy the requirements needed in evaluating high performance
devices of this type. The XRD9810/12EVAL contains the device being tested, Serial port
interface, CCD emulator, latches for the output data and I/O headers for a flexible user
interface. Complete AC and DC performance of the part can be evaluated by interfacing
external laboratory equipment to the XRD9810/12EVAL.
