L64020 Single Chip DVD Decoder
LSI Logic's digital video architecture for the L64020 incorporates many
unique features and capabilities. These architectural elements include an
embedded RISC processor, exible preparsing for system streams,
processing up to the sequence layer, and a exible display controller. The
PAL television format is supported with minimum memory requirement by
using less than 2.75 frame stores, which allows full-screen graphic
overlay while decoding video.
The L64020 is available in a 160-pin Plastic Quad Flat Package (PQFP),
a 176-pin Thin Quad Flat Package (TQFP), and a 208-pin mini-Ball Grid
Array (mini-BGA), which are compatible with other members of
LSI Logic's consumer products family. It is manufactured using a CMOS
process and is available in a 3.3 V version.

pixels @ 30 fps for NTSC and 720 x 576 pixels @ 25 fps for PAL
Audio Decoding
Dolby Digital certied
Combines MPEG and Dolby Digital audio decoding with support for
Linear PCM data
Decodes dual channel MPEG audio, Layer I and II ISO/IEC 11172-3
supporting bit rates of 8 - 448 Kbytes/s and sampling rates of
16, 22.05, 24, 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz
